Damo Hancock

Hi, my name is Damo, and I present “THE MIX TAPE” on Happy FM. My radio career began in community radio and after 10 years my wife gave me permission to have a crack in the commercial world. 

I was fortunate to hold various positions interstate at several radio stations in both on-air and creative roles. This included presenting the breakfast program, weekday drive, football commentary and production. I finally returned to SA in 2024 and after a little break from radio, I have found my music “home” at Happy FM. 

My fellow presenters are as professional and passionate as I have seen in my radio journey, and I love being part of the on air/off air team. My passion is harmonies. I am a child of the Beatles, Huey Lewis & the News and Queen. I love country music (especially modern country artists) and sharing my music trivia. 

So, what can you expect from my show "The Mix Tape “? Expect the unexpected… Big Band, Country, Rock ‘n ‘Roll, Electro Swing, Pop, & Folk music - my mixtapes are as extensive as my music trivia.
